Chad writes - This is a Georgian style of the late 1700s and is patterned off of one that was made about 1810. Wood: Mahogany box with inlay sides of Walnut, eucalyptus, and a unknown South American wood. The top of the box is a dark grain of unknown wood with I think a butternut top (from a pallet). Writing surface is 1/4 Birch plywood to prevent warping.Other Materials: Brass hinges, lock, Goose Neck handles, corners, with green felt writing surface. Finish: stained and hand rubbed polyurethane . Approx. weeks to complete: 4 weeks; Dimensions: 24.5 depth, 16 width, 5 height
