Ken writes - I made this planter stand as a gift for my mother. It is made from pine. I adapted the plant stand as you see it from the plans found in the issue of Woodsmith Magazine Vol. 25/No. 147. I used a 12" tile instead of the 8" that is called for in the plans as that is what was given to me from a previous table project. I used two coats of Minwax Red Sedona stain and a spray on polyurethane satin to finish.
